Caution is a one-of-a-kind painting depicting a Chickasaw man in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic. The work uses southeastern basketry motifs on the edges of the canvas, abstract symbols for water, and a graffiti-esque SKODEN! along the lower left-hand border. Adorned with a medical mask, the central figure reflects the cautionary measures a person takes in this new world.
